If you’re in the YouTube Partner Program, you can monetize videos with music and sound effects from the Audio Library. If you’re using a track with a Creative Commons  license, you must credit the artist in your video’s description. Save or share videos & playlists

Channels will lose monetization when they violate any of the YouTube channel monetization policies. Sometimes channels require multiple reviews, especially when several reviewers disagree on your channel’s suitability for YPP. Keep in mind we continuously check channels in YPP to make sure they continue to meet our policies and guidelines over time. If it meets our policies and guidelines, we’ll accept your channel into YPP. These thresholds help us make a more informed decision about whether your channel meets our policies and guidelines.

After choosing how you want to monetize, you’ll be able to manage ad preferences, turn on monetization for your uploads, and more. If your first application wasn’t successful, don’t worry – you can appeal the decision within 21 days or keep uploading original content and you’ll be able to re-apply after a 30-day period. Valid public Shorts views

Your channel also must not have any active Community Guidelines strikes in order to apply. Keep in mind that any public watch hours from Shorts views in the Shorts Feed don’t count towards the 4,000 public watch hours threshold. Current members of the program won’t be removed when receiving Community Guidelines strikes. If you have active Community Guidelines strikes on your channel, you can apply after your strikes expire. If you don’t meet the requirements yet, keep working to make original content and build your audience. When your live stream is vertical (more tall than wide), viewers on mobile will now enter a full screen viewing experience when watching it. Members-only live streams are a great way to offer special content to your most loyal viewers. If your account has been restricted from live streaming, you’re prohibited from using another channel to live stream on YouTube. Manage a playlist

Please review each console maker’s instruction manual for directions to stream. Live streaming lets you interact with your audience in real time with a video feed, chat, and more. Once you qualify for the higher eligibility criteria for YPP, you will be eligible to receive a share of the revenue from ads served on your content. If you do not currently meet the higher eligibility criteria of YPP you may still see ads being served on your content. If a channel is inactive and has not uploaded or posted posts for 6 months or more, YouTube reserves the right to remove its monetization. A channel needs to complete all the YPP signup steps (which currently include signing the contract and associating an AdSense for YouTube account) before they will be reviewed.

Once you accept YPP terms and link an active AdSense for YouTube account, your channel will automatically be put in a review queue. Once you understand what you need to join, your channel can become eligible for YPP with either Shorts or long-form video. We’ll send you an email once the expanded YPP program is available to you and you’ve reached the eligibility thresholds.
